The retro basketball shoe's women-only version, the Women's Nike Dunk High "Vintage Black," features design cues that add to its vintage vibe. The Dunk made its debut in 1985 as part of the "Be True to Your School" series of colourways inspired by college basketball and honouring some of the nation's top programs. Here, the colourway's worn, vintage appearance on the "Vintage Black" plays up its old school basketball roots. The oxidation process that takes place on a midsole after years of wear is simulated by the cream rubber midsole. The shoe has a white leather base up top. The Swoosh branding and contrast black leather overlays have a faint gloss and textured finish that resembles the appearance and feel of natural leather.
