The olive canvas upper of the New Balance 2002R Bryant Giles What Now? has pastel embroidery, frayed overlays, and detachable velcro New Balance side patches. The "What Now?" embroidery on the heel is a nod to Giles' 2019 film What Now?, which had its world premiere at Miami's Art Basel in December of that same year. The design is then finished with unique insoles that feature paintings by Giles and a semi-transparent outsole.
